A tale of child labour in the words of a thirteen-year-old Anil, aged 13, is one of 40,000 children in India who work all day making glass bangles over a hot flame set up at home. This is his story in his own words. Anil gets up at 5am every day to melt hundreds of glass bangles into a perfect circle for which he is paid 40p per day. It’s uncomfortable work and he can burn himself. His father died and Anil was taken out of school to work to help feed his family. His story is typical of many of the 250 million children involved in child labour around the world.
